KTW Construction Inc. is new to the green technology i.e. LEED© program. The owner Dan Andreassen is currently registering for LEED© certification, once complete will ensure that green initiatives are implemented at site and with subtrades. Currently, KTW Construction Inc. tries to recycle as much demolition debris as possible. We use different garbage bins for various products. We attempt to use materials on our projects that are locally available and made with recycled products and that are acceptable to the owner and consultant. During construction we try and use alternative heating sources for temporary heat. In the past we have tied into hot water lines if available and used force flow heaters to circulate warm air. We have also used electric heaters in lieu of fossil burning heaters. KTW Construction Inc. still has a lot to learn about green technology and will need to develop a program in the coming years to compete for projects for both private and public sector firms.
